Released in 1988 and is simply "the shoe that changed everything". Created by Tinker Hatfield, this shoe reportedly "saved MJ from leaving Nike" as it was love at first sight when Tinker presented them to Michael. Featuring the new Jumpman logo which would go on to become one of the most recognizable logos in the world, the cement print and simple yet elegant design helped raise Air Jordan and the Nike brand to unimaginable levels. The free throw line dunk at the 1988 All Star Game, one of MJ's most famous dunks, also helped make this shoe iconic. Retroed in 1994, this shoe also sold poorly as the public simply was not ready for a return of the "old" Air Jordans......well.....things were pretty different in 2001 when this shoe re-released again and it has been all love for this shoe ever since. 2012 saw an awesome "Oregon Ducks PE" as well as the return of "Nike Air" for the Air Jordan III....fans rejoiced to say the least.
